2020. Oh, 2020. Enough said, right? Here are 10 snapshots of my quarantine so far.

  1. Masking up to venture outside, because that’s what we do now.
  2. I turned 30 (oh my GOD) in quarantine, so I got a baby sparkler in a Ramos Gin Fizz in bed for my birthday!
  3. Chipping approximately 97836493 layers of paint off the doors and moulding in my pre-war apartment has thusfar been a very time wasting consuming project.
  4. I tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies and got a swab up my nose to a very tingly place. We chose to get tested because we were both had mild symptoms and most notably, lost the sense of taste and smell in the beginning of quarantine, so it was nice to find out for sure that I did have it, since testing was not widely available at the time.
  5. I dyed my hair TEAL. No time like the quarantine, right?
  6. Animal Crossing and kitty snuggies take up a lot of time, as well.
  7. Does anyone else think to-go cocktails should stay a thing?
  8. And long walks (with stops for frozen Pina Coladas, of course). We’ve been walking everywhere, and I’m not even mad at it at all. Okay, maybe I was a little mad at the time we walked all the way to freaking Queens, but it was kind of my idea…
  9. Hello, my name is Tallulah Marie and I spend my days basking in the sun as it moves around the apartment.
  10. I have never loved being a New Yorker more than I do during this time. I love the daily 7pm cheer, I love the community art, I love the support for local businesses, I love the posted signs offering to shop for our immune-compromised neighbors, I love that we did what we do and we adapted and we so quickly understood that the common good of everyone was more important than just our own. New York, I still love you. ♥
