I’m Caitlin

And I’m a recovering perfectionist. I’m the type of girl who thinks everything has to be absolutely perfect otherwise there’s no point in doing it, and I let that mindset keep me from doing so many fun things in life! So I decided that sharing my wins, my fails, the missteps, the redos, all the overthinking, and everything in between would become my journey to rediscovering all of the things that make me, well, me. And it’s been so much fun ever since!

But let’s back up and start with the basics. My name is Caitlin, I’m a thirties girlie, and I currently live in Brooklyn, NY with my fiancé, Wilmer, and our Scottish Fold kitty, Tallulah. I worked in the hospitality industry managing cocktail bars up until the pandemic in 2020 shut it all down, and I happily took that opportunity to say goodbye to getting home from work at 5am and dealing with guests who had one drink too many. Now I run operations for a content creator and I only make cocktails because I want to. ♡

I’ve blogged on and off since the Livejournal days, so while this iteration of me seems new, you never know, we might have run in the same circles of the internet once or twice before. I love creating this little community of girlies (ofc including the guysies – girlies is not gender specific in this house!) who want to openly love what we love, wear all the sparkles and bows and whatever else makes us happy, paint the house whatever color we want to, dance to Taylor Swift so loud the walls are shaking, and be as extra as we want to be!

I share about my life as a born and bred California girlie turned New Yorker, the happy & colorful home decor in my own home and maybe some others’ here and there, and the fashion of a girl who had to wear black for work for entirely too long rediscovering my love for color, patterns, and dressing for me.
